Our Story: Then & Now
Then
Wayne and Marin Foster's journey began in New York in the 1950s, where Wayne, a blind musician, captivated audiences with his remarkable piano skills. After meeting Marin at just 16, their love story blossomed, and together they formed Wayne Foster Music, performing at society parties and prestigious events—including White House inaugurations.
In 1972, they moved to Southern California, where they established their legacy, bringing East Coast big-band style to the West Coast. Their four daughters, including Bonnie, grew up immersed in music, helping build the family business one event at a time.
In 2013, Bonnie continued the family legacy by founding Bonnie Foster Productions, incorporating the lessons learned from decades of experience with a modern twist. BFP quickly expanded internationally, performing for royalty in France and England, and collaborating with high-profile celebrities like Michael Bublé and David Foster for private events.
Today, BFP continues to create unforgettable live music experiences, from intimate weddings to large corporate galas, staying true to the family’s vision while evolving to meet the needs of our clients.
Now
How It All Started
Wayne Foster
My father, Wayne Foster, a totally blind since birth musician and entrepreneur, started playing an instrument at age 3 when his mother told him that if he wanted to have a family, he needed to have a skill to earn a living to support a wife and children. So he learned the Accordion, then graduated to the Piano and by his 12th birthday was winning cash and prize contests on TV and even played the piano impromptu at the White House on a grade school field trip.
Marin Foster
My mother, Marin Foster, a true angel, came into the picture when she was 16 and Wayne was 17, She attended a fundraiser dinner dance in New York where Wayne was playing in his band. Marin went up to Wayne on a dare and touched his hand (he could not see Marin due to his being totally blind)….without a flinch Wayne immediately responded to Marin's touch by gently placing his hand on top of hers and at that moment they both say that they knew they would be together forever, and they were together since that night for over 70 years.
Through The Decades
Over the past five decades, our family has had the privilege of providing exceptional music for some of the most influential figures and athletes, including Oprah, Quincy Jones, Dr. Phil, Magic Johnson, and more. We’ve entertained close to six million guests at over 25,000 weddings, corporate events, and galas across the U.S. Our legacy spans intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, always leaving guests with unforgettable memories.
A Legacy of Music
Music was at the heart of my family’s life from the start. By age six, I was performing on stage, singing and dancing alongside my parents' band, infusing our events with energy. Growing up, I learned all aspects of the business — from talent booking to production. After college, I fully immersed myself in growing the family business, doubling sales within five years through my passion for making people happy and creating memorable experiences.
As Master of Ceremonies and conductor of the New Wayne Foster Dance Orchestra, I worked with my parents, Wayne and Marin, to create seamless events. Marin directed everything behind the scenes, ensuring every detail, from music to timing, was flawless.

Continuing the Legacy of Celebration
The lessons from my parents — their work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence — continue to guide me. Today, I carry on their legacy, bringing music and joy to every event we create.
