The Night I Will Never Forget at Fairmont Grand Del Mar

This location, in particular, will always hold a special place in my heart as I was in charge of the musical production for its grand opening. I can still remember the three violinists – who happened to be identical triplets – playing at the Port-A-Cashe as guests were welcomed onto the newly opened gorgeous property. The evening swelled with appetizers, fireworks, and festive patriotic music on the Aria Lawn. An amazing dinner followed and guests dazzled and danced in the Elizabeth Ballroom.

On this night, I was given the unique opportunity to perform classic and contemporary hits with my late father, Wayne Foster, and our magnificent full-dance orchestra. Working with Mr. Manchester, we ran through every detail, ensuring that all guests received a celebration with memories that would last a lifetime for their first experience at the (Fairmont) Grand Del Mar. The night finally concluded after the ribbon cutting and a DJ after-party that kept

partygoers entertained for 8 hours. This was a night my team and I will never forget.

Although it has now been open for several years and has been purchased several times, the enchanting Fairmont Grand Del Mar has still maintained its elegance and style. The hardworking team there continues to offer its beautiful spaces and professional services to their guests for special events, including horses for trail rides and pickleball courts.

Located right on the beach in Carlsbad/Leucadia, Alila Marea Beach Resort offers stunning Pacific Ocean views and a luxurious setting for special events. One of my favorite parts about event planning at Alila Marea is working with their amazing team. Working with them has always been a positive experience. Their dedication to excellence and attention to detail make planning a special event a seamless process. Between the breathtaking location and the exceptional service, Alila Marea is a standout venue for any celebration.

Unwinding and Exploring at Alila Marea Beach Resort

The journey to bring Alila Marea to life was a long one, with over a decade of permitting processes by the Coastal Commission. However, the result is a private and exclusive resort that offers a serene escape in the heart of a vibrant beach town. As an added bonus, the location provides plenty of activities up and down the coast, giving all guests a wealth of options to explore. You surely will never be bored when you visit the Alila Marea.

3. The Beautiful Spanish-Inspired Rancho Valencia

Nestled among beautiful trees, Rancho Valencia offers an exquisite and detail-oriented setting perfect for luxury weddings, private parties, and special events. Owned and operated by my dear friend Jeffrey Essakow with Protea Properties, this resort exudes charm and sophistication.

Memorable Performances at Rancho Valencia

Rancho Valencia has been the site of many unforgettable performances. A fun fact – I myself was fortunate enough to have the pleasure of booking Michael Bublé to perform with my hip, live Dance Orchestra for an exclusive 80th birthday party at Rancho Valencia. Michael even stayed at the resort. However, he is not the only big name in the music industry that has performed there. One of the other most memorable experiences I had at Rancho Valencia was when Chris Martin of Coldplay performed for a fundraiser. He showed up without any rehearsal and delivered a fabulous performance with the entertainers from the Challenged Athlete Foundation.

Creating Lasting Memories at Rancho Valencia

Rancho Valencia’s Spanish-inspired decor adds to its unique charm, and it holds a special appeal for horse enthusiasts, especially during horse race season. The resort’s various venues, including the Croquet Lawn and the smaller ballroom below the Pony Room, provide diverse options for creating unique musical experiences.
